A Girl's Guide to Graduation Registries: Trends and Ideas for Grad Season - Miles and Bishop

Hey there, all you soon-to-be-grads! It’s that time of year again—graduation season is upon us, and we are here for your girly graduation registries. Our very own seniors, Ella Palmer and Molly Kizer, hosted a Senior Night recently, and we had several of our upcoming graduates register during an after hours shopping party. We wanted to give you all the lowdown on the trends and ideas of what they are looking for.

Travel Necessities: Whether they are planning on vacationing in their future or making weekend trips home from college, these girls were loving the travel bags, especially the Consuela options. Just about every girl that has registered with us so far has included a Train Case, Jetsetter, or Weekender on their wishlist. If Consuela is not your style, we do have lots of other options for you that would make any girl excited to hit the road.

Consuela Bags: Speaking of Consuela, the girls were loving the Classic and Chica Totes for their treks across school campuses. They also added the Uptowns and Combis to complete the package.

Scents: These girls were all about some fragrances, and just like everyone else that walks into Miles and Bishop, they were loving Ambre Blends. This is an in-store exclusive oil-based perfume. If you are interested in purchasing some, give us a call and we will be happy to take care of you. Another scent-themed idea is our Pura Devices. These are great for those who will be living on their own in apartments or houses. Each device holds 2 pods, so mix up their options and give them an aromatic experience. Lastly, laundry detergent. Our Linden & London line of detergent, room sprays, lotion, and soaps will make a great little grad gift. Momma may not be doing their laundry anymore, but at least it can smell like it.

Jewelry: Not the statement costume pieces, but the fine keepsake jewelry from designers like Allison Avery and Kinsey Designs. From Allison Avery, our gold birthstone or pearl Wren Huggies are on every single registry. They are also loving the charm bar necklaces and our faith-based collection. When it comes to necklaces the daintier, the better. These girls were all about simple yet classic. From Kinsey Designs, they were all obsessing over the charm bar with the adjustable gold-filled necklaces. Specifically, spelling out their names in either the solid gold letter or the luxe letter slides.

If you are the “gifter,” here are a few more ideas for you.

  • What about a GRWM gift set (“Get Ready With Me” for those who may not know what GRWM means, lol)? This gift basket could include a pair of fuzzy slippers, a cute robe, and a GRWM headband. We even have the perfect little Terry cloth bags that could be used for toting their bathroom gear to and fro to the community dorm bathrooms.
  • How about a faith-based gift to include our Church Notes notebook and a faith-based piece of jewelry like our Faith over Fear necklace from Allison Avery.
  • To stay on theme with the travel necessities, we are loving our Ezra Puff Bag collection. The tote is the perfect size for an overnight stay, and the cosmetic pouches are so versatile. You could also grab one of the Ezra Puff backpacks and throw a coordinating clip-on pouch to it, perfect for earbuds.

So, whether you're shopping for yourself or a friend, these trends and ideas are sure to make your graduation season a memorable one. Happy shopping and congrats to all the graduates!
